Job Description

Service-Delivery for Needy Seniors

  • Facilitate the referral process for needy seniors between satellite offices and CNSO within the cluster, through inter alia:
    • Provide advice to satellite office CNS-POC on CNS-related SOPs and services;
    • Supervise/guide satellite office CNS-POC on recommendations for complex CNS cases;
    • Ensure that satellite office CNS-POCs, Programme Coordinators (PCs) and Silver Generation Ambassadors (SGAs) are well-equipped to handle CNS referrals; and
    • Document and sharing of best practices/key learnings to enhance PCs’/SGAs’ sensor capabilities/referral processes
  • Mobilise and coordinate cluster-level resources to help needy seniors within the cluster
  • Perform outreach planning in collaboration with cluster satellite offices and CNSO to ensure needy seniors are helped
  • Build partnerships between satellite offices and government agencies/VWOs/ Grassroots organisations within the regional cluster to facilitate service delivery to our seniors
  • Identify gaps in service delivery to seniors within the cluster, and collaborate with CNSO to bridge such gaps
  • Work with SGO HQ to disseminate and implement new initiatives relating to CNS within the cluster

Encouraging Active Ageing Participation

  • Develop and implement strategies to encourage senior participation in Active Ageing programmes within the cluster
  • Engage community partners on Active Ageing Programmes within the cluster and explore possible collaboration on programmes tailored to seniors’ needs
  • Work with SGO HQ to disseminate and implement new initiatives relating to Active Ageing activities within the cluster

Reporting on the Progress of CNS Initiative

  • Accountable to SGO HQ on progress of CNS initiative within the cluster through, inter alia, timely reporting of key performance indicators, collation of CNS stories, updates on partnerships and initiatives within the cluster by satellite offices
  • Provide support to satellite offices within the cluster in updates on the CNS initiative to Grassroot Advisers, and seek their support in carrying out SGO’s mission/CNS initiatives
  • Gather and track feedback on implementation of the CNS initiative within the cluster

Job Requirements

  • Good understanding of grassroots organisations and community sectors
  • Prior experience with community stakeholder engagement working with government and non-government agencies is advantageous
  • Strong leadership and people management skills required
  • Strong ability to plan, organise and execute projects and strategic initiatives in a fast paced environment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills to build and grow strong relationships with partners
  • Prepared to work after office hours when required
