Job Description

  • Drive, facilitate and manage QI projects to support community care providers in improving organisational effectiveness and improve quality of care for the elderly.
  • Assist in the management of QI projects, which includes:-
    • Engaging community care providers to encourage participation in quality improvement initiatives,
    • Conducting research/literature review to identify best practices related to the QI projects,
    • Preparing for QI workshops including familiarising yourself with the current practices and gathering data to quantify the key issues and challenges faced,
    • Apply and customise QI methodologies to suit the needs of the QI projects and to achieve the desired objectives,
    • Planning and organising the QI workshops,
    • Following up with the participants after the workshop to monitor implementation of action plans, data collection and analysis.
  • Monitor progress of QI projects and achievement of key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Prepare reports to update management and other key stakeholders on progress of projects, budget utilisation and achievement of KPIs.
  • Identify and suggest quality improvement ideas and initiatives that would contribute to organisational improvement for the care providers.
  • Promote successful improvements through the creation and delivery of presentations and/or articles.
  • Assist with events and other platforms to build and sustain a quality improvement culture in the sector.
  • Continuously find ways to improve processes within the department and division.
  • Undertake any other duties as directed by your supervisors.

Job Requirements

  • Degree with at least 1 - 2 years of work experience and preferably relevant experience in project management and quality improvement. It would be an advantage if candidates have a clinical background.
  • Experience in quality improvement methodologies (e.g. LEAN, Plan-Do-Check-Act, Root Cause Analysis, Six Sigma Green/Black Belt) would be an advantage.
  • Good project management skills and meticulous.
  • Analytical with good interpersonal and written communication skills.
  • Able to work well independently and in a team.
  • Proactive and self-motivated, with the ability to adapt well to a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
